Sete Cidades Magnifique Nous avons fait la visite de Sete Cidades avec Samuel, Il était accommodant, flexible et attentionné. La visite des serres d’ananas était très intéressante et les différent point vues sont tous époustouflant.

Sete Cidades half day Had a great time and the driver/guide was fantastic! Met us promptly at the cruise port and we were on our way.

Fabulous Tour We actually booked a tour through Viator, and the operator ended up being Dream Tours. How fortunate we were. We were on a cruise ship, stopping in port just for the day. We met up with our group right at the port dock and were whisked around the western area of this beautiful island. You must get out of town to really appreciate the varied landscape. We saw Sete Cidades, some scenic view points, and even a pineapple plantation. Well worth the time and money.

Half-day Sete Cidades tour João was a great guide. We saw a lot of the ‘other’ side of the island and got a good dose of geology, history, and ecology. Not a must-do, but a really-should-do.

Great Tour We went on this tour not knowing what to expect – other than it was called: Half Day: Sete Cidades – so we knew we were going there.
My wife and I were 2 of 3 on this tour – fantastic for is because we don’t like to lollygag. We started off by stopping at a pineapple plantation (free), our tour guide (John) was very knowledgeable!
After that, we stopped at various view points with more informative chats. Then we headed over to See Cidades where we rode around the top of the crater, stopping wherever we wanted for a picture. The road takes you to an abandoned hotel at the top of the crater.
After the hotel, we went down to the bottom of the crater (sweet!) to visit the town and have a drink. A few more view point stops and we were back to the hotel.

Azores Dream Tours (www.azoresdreamtours.com) Our tour guide was Dino. He gave us a 4 1/2 hour tour in an 8 passenger van around Ponta Delgada and surrounding villages, a beautiful chapel high on a hill, plus 2 of the crater lakes, including the one where locals cook their food by lowering it into the hot pools. We had as much time as we needed to look around. He was fun and very knowledgeable – he grew up in one of the villages we passed through. The tour was not expensive. We had arrived by cruise ship, but this was not one of their tours. We were back in plenty of time to reboard.

Our cruise ship was unable to dock in Ponta Delgada due to a Portuguese port strike. Azores Dream Tours were very kind to return the payment even when the cancellation was late due to the late confirmation of the strike. Thank you for understanding and we will book again with Azores Dream Tours when we return to Ponta Delgada.
Roger_H – Excellent Trip –
All the wonderful views of the island & learning all about the lifestyle. We appreciated the
guides’ effort by returning to a viewing site when our first visit was clouded.

Gonçalo with Dream Tours did a wonderful job explaining how pineapples are grown in the Azores. We toured the Sete Cidades where the blue and green lakes were explained. We stopped at the small village near the Cidades with a church built in 1857. While the weather wasn’t the best the tour was great.
