Wish we had done this on our first day Our guide Tiago pick d us up right on time in Lagoa, driving a spiffy Mercedes. I was first concerned that I wouldn’t see much sitting in the back seat, but that was never a problem. Tiago asked where we’d been and what we had already enjoyed on the island, turning our tour into a unique, personalized experience. There were many stops, where we stayed as long as we liked, and many stories and details about the inimitable Azorean lifestyle. Tiago understood the history of the islands, cultural, geographic and political, tailoring his stories to our groups questions and interests. Lunch was delicious, where we experienced some local cuisine at a relaxed buffet. We did this tour near the end of our visit, but I’d suggest doing it early on your stay. Your going to discover many sites that you will want to return to and visit on your own. Thank you Tiago!

A first rate experience to discover so many hidden gems in the Azores The only thing my wife and I would have changed today was the weather. We experienced rain, thick fog, very strong wind - yet having said that, I live in Yorkshire, so no big deal, and secondly what else should I expect when visiting a small island in December? Miguel picked us up from our hotel in Furnas in a very clean E-series Merc, and for the next 9 hours gave us a very enjoyable, educational and above all fun tour of the Island. I am so grateful that we travelled off-season - very little got in our way, very few queues, and a totally custom experience. Not only did we get to see some stunning locations (to be fair, one we were unable to see due to the dense fog- but that is hardly the fault of the tour!), Miguel compensated for this by creating a hybrid tour and taking us to other locations normally reserved for other excursions. What topped it off was a fantastic 3-course lunch included in Alambique restaurant in Lagoa - a review to follow - with just about the warmest welcome I am yet to encounter. Highly recommended, and will certainly be keeping hold of Miguel's card should we ever have the opportunity to return. Wakefield, Reino Unido

Amazing Tour!! A must for anyone visiting Sao Miguel on a short stay!! Great tour and guide! Did not think it was possible to do and see so much in one day! To add to that, I was to rent a car the next day and the tour guide provided invaluable information that made the following day a true joy!

Best tour option on São Miguel! Without any hesitation, I can say that my guide Joao was cut out for the job - born on Sao Miguel, Joao loves nature and enjoys every minute of living in his native paradise. He is a very relaxed, patient and sociable guy, considerate, and took great care. On every curve and corner of the road, I learned a plethora of stories and trivia facts, while being comfortably shuttled around by Joao, who is also an expert driver! He was also willing to discuss more in-depth about current Azorean events and issues since I took a great interest in the archipelago and the lives of its people. Moreover, Joao and his brother Miguel both deserve great credit for having gone every length to make possible some tailored and individual tours for me, even when the schedule at first seemed fully booked. 4 in 1 tour we bought 1 day tour (4in1:sete Cidades-Furnas-Nordest,loga do fogo). with this tour you can explore all beauties of sao Migul. our guide Joao was very knowledgeable and professional. The best guide in Ponta Delgada! Miguel Correia is the best local guide in Ponta Delgada! He's very professional, always arrives on time, very helpfull and he knows everything there is to know about the island! We did the 4-in-1 tour (the whole island) in one day and it was amazing! We were lucky with the weather, the only sunny day in weeks! We will go back in the Summer and of course Miguel will be our guide! Cancún, México

All In One Tour Was on the tour back in June. I was the only one making it really private. The tour took me around the entire island, I saw some pretty amazing lakes and had some of the best views. For lunch they take you to Tony's to eat authentic Azorean food. My tour guide was really funny and we had some pretty good laughs all the way. I also took amazing pictures. It wasn't a problem asking to stop (if he could of course) if I saw something I wanted to take a picture of. He also knew all the best spots for pictures. He also took me to a bar and I had some pretty sweet pineapple liquor. If your schedule is tight then I definitely recommend this tour as it takes you to all the major spots and the guides definitely know their stuff. I really couldn't have asked for a better day.
